COUN 6023 - Counseling Internship I A supervised professional field-based experience that is primarily in the provision of direct counseling services. Students serve under the direct supervision of a licensed mental health professional. Students are also required to attend weekly group supervision with a LETU faculty member. Emphasis is on the transition from student to becoming a professional counselor (LPC) and the integration of theology and counseling. Students will explore clinical and ethical issues from a Christian worldview. Level 3 Course. Students must make a B or better. Class 3. (A mimimum of 300 clock hours required.) Prerequisite(s): COUN 5593 and COUN 6013 .
