HIST 3123 - History of Christian Mission

This course serves as an introduction to the history of missions from the New Testament to the present day, focused mostly on the Protestant and Catholic traditions and on intercultural missions, with particular attention to the development of motivation for missions, missionary methods, the theology and biblical basis of missions, the modern missionary movement of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the process of indigenization, and the emergence of world Christianity.
