HIST 3513 - History of Military Technology

An analysis of key technological advancements that influenced military weaponry beginning in the Middle Ages and continuing up through the present day. Students will understand the key advances, the advantages those advances had on military weaponry, the debates over how those weapons should be tactically employed, and case studies of how those weapons impacted battlefield outcomes. Students will also become familiar with various Christian theological viewpoints on the use of war and military weaponry. Class 3.
