COUN 5133 - Clinical Appraisal and Diagnostic Evaluation in Counseling This course exposes students to testing and measurement in the counseling profession. Topics addressed include historical perspectives of testing, conducting a clinical interview, the use of assessment and testing for diagnostic and treatment planning, the use of tests relevant to education, career, personality, behavior, and social development, and the integration of the Christian worldview. Students will examine the cultural and ethical relevance of administering, scoring, and interpreting assessment and test results. Students will conduct a clinical interview using the biopsychosocial and spiritual assessment, administer and interpret test results, and report the results. Level 2 Course. Students must make a B or better. Course Fee. Class 3. Prerequisite(s): COUN 5023 , COUN 5033 , COUN 5043 , COUN 5053 , COUN 5073 , COUN 5083 , COUN 5443 , COUN 5343 , COUN 5223 and COUN 5333 .
