PSYC 4023 - Basic Counseling Skills This course focuses on basic counseling skills that facilitate growth in helping relationships. Students are provided with opportunities to practice and develop essential attending, listening, and facilitation skills. Other topics addressed in this course include biblical principles of helping, counseling skills for special populations, and ethical and professional issues. Recommended for all students interested in counseling, ministry, or other helping professions. Class 3. Prerequisite(s): PSYC 2013 and PSYC 3003.
