HCAD 6723 - Value Based Health Care

The course covers hospital-physician partnership models including accountable care organizations, physician employment, and acquisition of physician practices, clinical joint ventures, and professional services agreement. Students will learn the core competencies needed to succeed under emerging reimbursement models, develop strategies for optimizing governance, management, operations of physician-hospital partnerships, and discuss alignment trends for specific specialties, including cardiology, oncology, and pulmonary medicine. This course is offered through the online program. Class 3.
