COUN 5053 - Research Methods A study of the scientific method of professional counseling research to aid the student in understanding the theoretical bases of scientific research. The student will develop a working knowledge of the research methods and problems associated with conducting human research. The student will understand the analysis and use of data in counseling. The student will also gain the ability to recognize quality research and research methods. Research will also be viewed from an ethical, cultural, and Christian lens. Level 1 Course. Students must make a B or better. Class 3. Prerequisite(s): COUN 5033 and COUN 5443 .
