The Master of Science (MS) in Engineering is a traditional program on the Longview campus and consists of 30 credit hours with 24 hours of coursework and 6 hours of thesis. Exact coursework will be determined by the faculty advisor in conjunction with the Graduate Committee.

Total Credit Hours: 30
9 credit hours - Graduate Engineering Core:
*Students are required to register for ENGR6600 every semester enrolled as a fulltime graduate student.
15 credit hours:
Courses as determined by Specialization and Faculty Advisor. A minimum of three 5XXX+ level courses in the selected area of engineering specialization are required.
Optional:
- Up to 9 credit hours of LETU parallel-credit undergraduate/graduate engineering courses
- Up to 6 credit hours of transferred graduate level courses (taken for a grade) in Science, Computer Science, Math and/or Engineering from other ABET accredited institutions
- Up to 4 credit hours (1 course with lab) of upper division undergraduate Math, Science, Computer Science or Engineering outside of the primary field of specialization (non-parallel credit)
