COUN 5443 - Professional Orientation in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Initial course in the program to introduce students to the counseling profession. Students will gain knowledge of the history of mental health counseling, professional organizations, roles of the counselors, credentials, and professional dispositions. Students will examine the counseling profession from the Christian worldview. Students will take this course their first semester. This seven week course includes required synchronous components. Level 1 Course. Students must make a B or better. Class 3.
