HCAD 5513 - Healthcare Law, Policy, and Ethics This course is an in-depth study of U.S. legal system, history of medicine, terminology, processes, and functions encountered in the taxonomy of the legal system relative to health care administration. This course introduces the concepts of contracts and intentional torts, negligence, corporate health care structure, liability of health care organizations, medical staff privileges, competition and anti-trust law, fraud, ethics, and corporate compliance. Class 3. Prerequisite(s): HCAD 5353 .
