MJEG 4014 - Engineering Analysis for Welding

Introduction to advanced mechanics of materials, fitness for service, and finite element methods for analysis of heat flow, residual stress, fatigue, fracture in welded structures. Capstone welding engineering class project focused on integration of all welding engineering concepts in semester long project, including engineering design, material selection, welding process selection, and nondestructive testing. Lab focused on use of modern numerical tools for simulation and design. Class 3. Lab 3. Prerequisite(s): COSC 1303, MATH 2023, MATH 2203, and MEGR 3323.
