BIBL 3533 - Johannine Literature This course is an exegetical and theological study of New Testament literature attributed to John (The Gospel of John, John’s Epistles, and the Book of Revelation). Students will consider the message of each document within its own socio-historical and literary settings. Attention is given to interpretive issues and exploring how certain texts have been interpreted throughout Christian history. The implications of Johannine literature for participation in the mission of God and faithful discipleship are explored.
Class 3. Prerequisite(s): BIBL 1033 and THEO 2043 . This course satisfies the General Education Biblical and Theological Engagement requirements.
