BIBL 3633 - Life and Teachings of Paul This course is an exegetical and theological study of New Testament letters attributed to Paul (Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon). Consideration is given to the message of Paul’s documents within its own socio-historical and literary settings. Interpretive issues and exploration of how certain texts have been interpreted throughout Christian history are considered. The contributions and impact of Paul’s life, ministry, and teachings are examined. The implications of Pauline ministry and literature for participation in the mission of God and faithful discipleship are explored.
Class 3. Prerequisite(s): BIBL 1033 and THEO 2043 . This course satisfies the General Education Biblical and Theological Engagement requirements.
