PHYS 4414 - Optics

A mathematically rigorous treatment of electromagnetic theory, leading to wave solutions of the Maxwell equations; the propagation, reflection and refraction of light; geometrical optics including mirrors, lenses, and optical instruments; physical optics including polarization, interference, and diffraction of light; and an introduction to Fourier optics.
