Students who complete the BBAC accounting degree will meet all the academic requirements set by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy academic requirements for the CPA exam in Texas except the 150-hour requirement. LeTourneau University offers a 4+1 program which meets the 150-hour requirement. Students in the 4+1 program complete the undergraduate degree program in four years and the MBA graduate degree program in one additional year. Students should become familiar with information regarding requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Texas. Each state has a state board of public accountancy website for details regarding requirements, and students are responsible for ensuring they meet the state’s requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
