Chemistry and Physics offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry, Engineering Physics, and in cooperation with the School of Education, Bachelor of Science degrees in Science and in Physical Sciences.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry will prepare students for industrial work in chemistry, for graduate studies, and for medical school through the biology concentration and participation in the Pre-medical Program. Industrial chemists are needed in polymer studies, air and water quality work, quality control, and research and development. The Chemistry B.S., Physical Concentration, provides preparation for graduate studies in chemistry or physics while the Chemistry B.S., Biological Concentration, is ideal preparation for a career in molecular biology.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics will prepare students primarily for graduate studies in engineering, physics or astronomy. In particular, there is a growing need for nuclear engineers and other energy related industries. In general, Christians trained in science and engineering disciplines are needed to face challenges in education, technology, and national security.

The Bachelor of Science degrees in Science and in Physical Science are designed to prepare graduates to teach science at the high school level. Admission to these programs is coordinated through the School of Education.

Course descriptions and the requirements for each program are linked below. For more information about the people and programs of Chemistry and Physics, consult the Chemistry and Physics web page.
