ARPA 2334 - UAS Technology and Operations

This course provides a foundation in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), covering the basics of remote vehicles, datalinks, control station functionality, and payload integration. Students will explore the history and evolution of UAS, gaining insight into the expansion in industries such as agriculture, public safety, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure inspection. The curriculum also includes preparation for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate, equipping students with the knowledge needed to meet regulatory standards and operate UAS safely and effectively. Students who complete this course will be eligible to obtain the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate and complete the NIST sUAS Standard Test through the Airborne Public Safety Association. Class 4.
