HCAD 5313 - Law, Ethics, and Values in Health Care Settings This course is an in-depth study of U.S. legal system, history of medicine, terminology, processes, and functions commonly encountered in the taxonomy of the legal system relative to health care administration. This course introduces the concepts of contracts and intentional torts, negligence, corporate health care structure, liability of health care organizations, medical staff privileges, competition and anti-trust law, fraud, and corporate compliance. This course is offered through the nontraditional program. Class 3.
