FINC 3013 - Business Forecasting and Risk Analysis The focus of this course is on using business forecasting and risk analysis for decision making. Topics include data analysis, time series forecasting patterns to analyze data, forecasting techniques such as moving averages, exponential smoothing, and trends. This course also includes expected values, risk and volatility, fundamentals of decision making under uncertainty. Applications to risk analysis with cases and problems are used. This course will review statistical techniques to include auto regression, descriptive statistics, normal distribution, linear and multiple regressions.
Use of statistical software such as Minitab, or Excel is included.
Class 3. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1423 and FINC 2743 with a grade of C or higher
