CVGR 2023 - Civil Engineering Materials

Introduction to materials used in civil engineering, concentrating on the behavior of steel, concrete, wood, asphalt and soils. Hands on characterization and testing exercises. Characterization of materials to internationally recognized standards. General engineering testing techniques and quality control are introduced in lectures and developed in laboratory exercises.
